Betty was the middle child born five years later on 7/8/1931.
Jeff was born nine years later on 1/16/1940.
Jack
Jack and Jeff are pictured together above. Even though the brothers were 14 years apart in age, Jack loved his little brother.
In the photo to the left, sitting around Dallas and Ural’s dinner table is Jack in the bottom left corner. Moving clockwise around the table is June, then Julie, Nola, Ural, Melissa, Betty, Dallas, Carroll, Connie and Russ.
Jack served honorably as a US Army Corporal in the Korean War from 1950-1953.
Jack passed away on 8/11/1992 after tending to a cow. June passed on 7/18/2015.
betty
Jeff’s older sister, Betty, loved her baby brother. She was a big teaser. In the “Favorites” section Jeff recounts a time when Betty convinced Jeff she could fly, and he could too if he would just flap his arms.
Betty married Carroll Satterfield in 1952. Carroll was born on 12/24/30. He served honorably as a US Army Corporal in the Korean War from 1950-1953. Carroll loved Jeff like he was a brother. They were all good friends as adults and shared hobbies like the banjo and building model airplanes. View all in the “Hobbies” section. When Jeff was 16, he traveled by bus out to Sacramento to live with Betty and Carroll and worked jobs to earn a living. In the “Letters Home” section, read all the letters that Jeff mailed to his parents during that time. Coming back home he rode with Warren and Betty Reeves.
Betty passed away on 11/2/1985 after returning home from an Elk’s Lodge Hawaiian Luau social event she had planned/executed to raise money for the Lodge. Carroll passed away 15 years later on 4/9/2000 after a prolonged illness.
