DALLAS AND URAL MOSER
DALLAS L and URAL F MOSER
Dallas Moser was born 8/18/1904. Ural was born 7/8/1905. They were married on 8/22/1925 near Lowell.
They purchased their 80 acres of farmland in 1939, built their home and worked the land and livestock diligently. They had milking cows, pigs, raised chickens for eggs and for dinner, and grew their own vegetables. They even had fruit trees. They sold their milk to Kraft. They understood what it meant to work hard and reap the benefits of a bountiful harvest and reach nearly 100% sustainability.
Dallas loved his coon dogs and hunting foxes and wolves with his hunting buddies, but they only listened to the chase and never killed anything. Ural loved participating at the 4-H club and quilting with her friends. Family was everything to them. They were blessed with three children, seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Dallas and Ural celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1975 at the Mt. Hebron church where they attended and served their entire adult lives. They were married another 9 years until Dallas passed away at age 80 on 10/6/1984. Ural lived another 10 years until her passing on 6/1/1994 at age 89.
These precious people were strong leaders of their family, strong leaders in their community, strong in their faith and in their church, often funding the maintenance and the cost to keep a Methodist minister traveling to bring a sermon to the congregation each week. At the core of who they were, it was always about giving their time, talent and resources to build a strong family and strong lasting relationships within the community.
