MELISSA KAY MOSER was Jeff and Nola’s first and only child, born 3/1/1960. And so the “Ray, Dae, Kay” family began!

Melissa loved the farm. She spent most weekends on the farm with her grandparents, whom she affectionately called “Granny” and “Grandpa”.

She adored the farm animals, the dogs, cats, cows and horses, and particularly “her” horse she named “Missy”.

Several times each year, family would visit from Missouri. She and Julie, her cousin, played from the moment they woke up until they fell asleep on Granny’s rollaway bed. They rode the horses, walked the land, played in the muddy pond, climbed up in the hay barn, and when forced to come inside, they would drag out all the toys in Granny’s toy box. They loved the fact the kids had their own dinner table away from the adults.

It was her laugh that was so memorable. So disarming. Every time we think of her, that’s what we hear. Her quick, witty sense of humor was so much fun to experience. Nothing got by her. No one was immune from being called out.

Melissa married Neil Churchill Jr. 10/18/84. They welcomed their first-born child, Neil Churchill III on 8/18/1984 and eight years later their second child, Katie Churchill on 2/17/1992.

Melissa and Neil separated and later divorced in 1997. Neil Churchill Jr. passed away on 12/31/2020.

Melissa married Darryl Foster on 11/3/2018.

Melissa passed away on 2/9/2025 at age 64.
